Ryan has always loved sport but was never able to play. Growing up and watching his brothers and sisters play sports was hard for Ryan, so after being introduced to Boccia, he jumped at the chance to get involved in a sport that he could play as an individual. There have been many challenges along the way but one thing Ryan says has helped him to overcome these challenges and shaped who he is today, is Boccia - but more specifically, his Boccia family.
