Christmas cheer hits coast for Carols at Scarborough

The Scarborough Beach Association event will be the first carols at the redeveloped Scarborough Beach foreshore. Children’s activities will include face painting and bubble-ology from 5pm, and a live show by Whiskey and Boots at 6pm. Another first will be a 12-foot Christmas tree, with attendees encouraged to bring a gift to place underneath that will be distributed to local disadvantaged families and people experiencing homelessness.

Guest soloists accompanied by the Australian Army Band Perth and Australian Army Pipes and Drums will sing Christmas favourites in the amphitheatre.
Santa will make an appearance and fireworks will light up the sky to end the night.
Entry is by gold coin donation and along with money raised from the sale of candles, song books and raffle tickets, will be donated to Muscular Dystrophy WA.
Chief executive Hayley Lethlean said the organisation was proud to again be part of the event.
“We are delighted to be the aligned charity of the Carols at Scarborough as it’s a loved event by locals,” she said.
“Being involved helps us to raise awareness and funds to support the muscular dystrophy community.”
