Muscular Dystrophy Foundation Ltd (MDF) has partnered with Meerkats The Brand Leadership Company Pty Ltd (Meerkats) to develop the Neuromuscular Digital Resource – an online, integrated and accessible resource to strengthen the capacity and skills of Australians living with muscular dystrophy and neuromuscular conditions, their families and carers.
The Resource, which has been funded through a National Disability Insurance Agency Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) grant, will essentially be a ‘one-stop-shop’ for Australians living with a neuromuscular condition, their families and carers to access the latest in medical research, condition information, support services as well as practical peer-based stories and life tips.
MDF Board Chair David Kay is pleased to announce the partnership, saying, “Through our independent tender process it was identified that Meerkats understood MDF and its consortium partners’ need to provide the neuromuscular community with a sound, trustworthy, peer-lead digital resource.”
“Meerkats got our vision and passion for this Resource as well as the complexity of the project. Their expertise will provide a useful Resource that will be used for years to come.”
Meerkats CEO, Gavin Bain said “Our partnership with MDF is one we cherish, and this project is a result of the shared passion we have for enriching the lives of people living with a neuromuscular condition. Once complete we know that this resource will really change lives”.
The Resource is due to be launched in March 2020.
