These terms apply to anyone who uses The Loop's Community Forum

  1. About these terms of use
    1. These terms apply to anyone who uses The Loop's Community Forum. Please read these terms before using the Forum. If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us. Our contact details are on The Loop website. By using the Forum, you agree to these terms.
    2. We may change these terms at any time. We will notify you if there are significant changes that effect you. We last updated these terms on 6 May 2020.

  2. Registration
    1. You must create an account before you can use the Forum.
    2. You must be at least 15 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of 18, your parent or guardian must read these terms and agree to them on your behalf before you register.
    3. Some areas of the Forum may be restricted to users who are over 18 years of age. If you are not over 18 years of age, you must not access those areas.
    4. When you register you will be asked to choose a password. You must keep your password secret. You should change your password if you are concerned it may be known to others. You are responsible for all use of the Forum made by anyone who uses your password, whether authorised by you or not.
  3. Community Guidelines
    1. You must comply with the Community Guidelines when using the Forum.
  4. User Content
    1. The Forum allows you to enter, create or upload text, images and other content (User Content). You must ensure User Content complies with the Community Guidelines.
    2. You give us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to exercise intellectual property rights in User Content to provide and operate the Forum. We may also use User Content to promote us, the Forum and our other services. If you have any moral rights in User Content, you consent to us doing any act or omission in respect of User Content that would otherwise infringe your moral rights.
    3. We may remove or edit any User Content that does not comply with these terms.
  5. Suspending or closing your account
    1. We may suspend or close your account immediately if you breach these terms, and we may also permanently ban you from creating any further accounts.
    2. We may stop operating the Forum at any time, in which case your account will be closed.
    3. You can close your account at any time.

    1. All material on the Forum, including text, images and software, is subject to copyright that is owned or licensed by us. This material may be reproduced and used for personal, non-commercial purposes only. No other use may be made of this material without our prior written permission.
  7. Trade marks
    1. Our trade marks may not be used except as expressly permitted by these terms or otherwise with prior written permission from the trade mark owner.
  8. Security
    1. We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage to computer systems arising in connection with use of the Forum. You should take your own precautions to ensure that the processes you use for accessing the Forum do not expose you to the risk of viruses, malicious computer code or other forms of interference.

    1. You consent to your personal information being collected, used, disclosed and otherwise handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you are a recipient of personal information in connection with the Forum, you must comply with our Privacy Policy in the handling of this information. Our Privacy Policy is available on our website.

    1. The Forum may contain links to other websites. We make no representation or warranty regarding the content of third party sites that are included as links, and we take no responsibility for the consequences of viewing and relying on any content on those sites. Provision of these links does not constitute endorsement or support by us for the information, products, services or persons associated with third party sites.
  11. Disclaimer and liability
    1. The Forum is intended to be used for informational purposes only. However, the information on the Forum might not be correct, complete or current. The Forum is not a substitute for professional medical advice and should not be relied on as health or personal advice. You should seek advice from your doctor or other qualified medical professional regarding your health or a medical condition. You should not disregard the advice of your doctor or medical professional, or delay in seeking it, because of something you have read on the Forum.

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability arising from your use of the Forum, including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential and special loss, and where arising from breach of contract, tort (including negligence) or any other common law, equitable or statutory cause of action.

    4. The laws of Queensland, Australia govern these terms. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia in any action or legal process concerning these terms.
